  7. Hi! Is this competition open worldwide? I definitely like semisolids better. They look nicer when I knit them in with complicated stitches. Variegated looks more fun on the skein though. - Vonraveller on Ravelry

  8. I have to agree with Vonraveller. I love Varigated but hate to work with them I buy semisolids to work with Varigated tends to stay in the skein and be petted.

  9. I should say semisolid, as I that's probably what I use more of. But I also love a nice variegated where the color scheme is "gentle" rather than glaring. They are great for using in stranded patterns to give added spark to the design without extra work. So I'm going to say variegated.

  10. I would say semisolids... I really love variegated but have a hard time matching projects to them.

  11. I prefer semisolids because lace patterns show off better.

  12. I prefer semisolids so they go with my printed dresses and tops

  14. Thanks for a great giveaway :)
I really like both variegated and semisolid yarns.. It depends on what kind of pattern I want to make, is it very detailed (semisolid) or would it give all the attention to the colouring of the yarn (variegated).
But then I'm always a fan of delicious colour combos so I'll go ahead and say variegated :)

  17. I love the look of varigated yarns, but prefer to work with semi-solids since they make lace patterns pop more. Of course, there are some projects that scream for a gorgeous varigated yarn.

  18. Definitely semi-solids. Although, I've seen a few patterns that need variegated and I'd be willing to try it then. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  21. I prefer varigated because the end product could be EXACTLY like the skein or so very different and I think that's the fun part! :)

  24. I like both for different things but i gravitate more towards tonals and semi-solids.
Especially if i am getting yarn without a specific project in mind. Seems it is more versatile to use and can show off specific stitches better.
Varigateds can be fun but limiting depending on the project.
    Great giveaway!

I have some but i want MORE!!!!!

  44. Thanks for the chance! I'd love to try the blue elephant yarn!

I think I prefer semisolids. Unless it is long colour changing variations - but I think that's not called variegated? I am a total sucker for long colour repeats (think Chroma or Cortina...)
